Association of Portuguese Water Utilities elected to the World Water Council

APDA, the Association of Portuguese Water Utilities, has just been elected to the Board of Governors of the World Water Council, being represented by its President, Rui Godinho.

Rui Godinho also integrates the newly elected Executive Committee (Bureau), which has a new president: Loïc Fauchon, representative of Société des Eaux de Marseille, France.

The elections took place at the 8th General Assembly of the World Water Council held in Marseille on 30 November and 1 December 2018. The World Water Council has the aim of monitoring the world’s water and sanitation strategies and contributing to the promotion of its definition and development. It consists of a diverse set of organizations related to water, intergovernmental bodies such as UNESCO, government agencies, water and wastewater utilities, private sector enterprises, civic society organizations, professional associations and academic institutions.
